Pink party at The Pen

A pink-themed cocktail party and fundraising auction was hosted by The Peninsula Manila to raise both awareness and funds to battle breast cancer.  The “Peninsula in Pink” was held  in partnership with the Estée Lauder Companies and Rustan’s for the benefit of the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care Inc.

The Peninsula Manila general manager Sonja Vodusek-Vecchio is hopeful the partnership will help fulfill a long-cherished dream of building a breast cancer ward at the East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City. Vodusek joined Estée Lauder Companies country manager Mel Lerma and Rustan Commercial Corp. president Nedy Tantoco in illuminating the hotel’s fountain pink.

The pink theme of The Conservatory party extended throughout the hotel, where nearly 200 of the Philippines’ top movers and shakers and most influential media practitioners were greeted upon arrival by pink-gloved pages lined along The Lobby’s grand staircase.  Lovely pink orchids and candles were scattered all over The Lobby and restaurants and the guests were treated to free-flowing Moët & Chandon Rosé Champagne, signature pink-themed canapés and live music provided by Baihana.

We agree that early detection is a major step in the fight against breast cancer.

Hope to see you again next year!
