“A man, who is constantly engaged in action and works hard until he has achieved his goal undergoes lots of metamorphosis and positive change which helps in his self improvement.” – Sam Veda
The Year of the Dragon, 2012, proves to be a fruitful year for Moroso, one of the world’s leading Italian furniture makers. The company is led by creative director Patrizia Moroso, who flew in all the way from Italy to celebrate this auspicious event — Moroso’s 60th year in the industry.
Touted as “Metamorphosis,” the event, held at The Conservatory of The Peninsula Manila in Makati City, was inspired by the changes that came about over the years with the contribution of all those who work and have worked with Moroso, including architects, interior designers, clients and distributors.
As part of the celebration, Moroso partnered with local furniture and design authority Casa Bella Home and Living headed by the visionary couple, managing director Joseph Tay and wife Stephanie, to bring the beauty of Italian designer furniture closer to Filipinos. The Italian delegation, composed of Patrizia Moroso and Moroso’s Daria Triolo, Valerio Vestri and Stella Chua Condotta received the usual warm welcome from Manila’s business luminaries and high society personalities.
Excellent furniture pieces executed by a team of brilliant, world-renowned designers occupied The Conservatory in strategic places — among them are the Sushi Collection by Edward Van Vliet, Little Albert by Ron Arad and the Gentry Sofa by Patricia Urquiola. Lucky invited guests had the chance of touching and sitting on the stunning pieces and enjoying the ambiance created by these brilliant young designers.
With Moroso’s presence in the country, homes and even commercial spaces will soon have an even more sophisticated appeal through Italian designer furniture that only the Italian furniture maker can create.
Special thanks to Joseph and Stephanie Tay for introducing the discerning Filipinos to Moroso!
