It's more fun in Bel-Air

The Pasinaya is one annual event celebrated with intense passion and enthusiasm by the residents of Bel-Air Village in Makati City. This year’s theme, Bel-Air: No. 1 in Fun, was a vibrant celebration enjoyed by the villagers and their friends.

I am part of the Bel-Air community because Miladay Jewels, our family jewelry business, has its hub on Jupiter street. I always look forward to the staging of Pasinaya every year.

The residents’ joy was infectious as they shared with me why Bel-Air is, indeed, No. 1 in fun. Here it goes:

“Bel-Air is number 1 in fun because of the magic of Pasinaya, how it brings people together through hard work and commitment. The practices allow friendships to blossom and bridge the gap between age groups, and this truly makes the community stronger.”  Andro Torres, barangay councilor

“I have been dancing for the Pasinaya for 10 years now. It’s fun to contribute, it’s fun to be involved and it’s fun to belong. Bel-Air gives us those opportunities; that’s why it’s No. 1 in fun.”  Michelle Abello, SK chairman

“Bel-Air is No. 1 in fun because of the camaraderie we share through community events.”  Galo Marquez, student and SK councilor

“Because we as a community get along well.”  Sofia Abello, student

“Because we’re united as a community.”  Frankie Lichauco, student

“We have activities that give everybody a chance to show off his talents.”  Josie Lacson, barangay councilor

“Bel-Air is No. 1 in fun because of our wonderful creative team. Floy Quintos is our Pasinaya director with choreographers Liza Chingcuangco, Andrew Ferraris, Tin Tin Limjap, Cecille Martinez, Bimbim Ebol and Ching Pagaduan. Lighting director is Jay Aranda while production designer is Gino Gonzales.”  Tricia Lichauco, Pasinaya performer

“Bel-Air is No. 1 in fun because you get to bond with our neighbors and guests.”  Marga Asuncion, student

“It’s No. 1 in fun because, as a community, we, coming from all age groups, join together on one special day to show people that when you dance in Pasinaya, what matters is that you have fun.”  Julia Javier, student

“Because here, friendships are made and kept. Bel-Air is what a real community should be: a community of people who actually know and care for each other and go out of their way to spend time together. Bel-Air is one of a kind.”  Cat Zarandin Turingan, Pasinaya dancer

“Bel-Air is No. 1 in fun because during Pasinaya, everyone comes together to have fun.”  Bea Lichauco, student

“It’s No. 1 in fun because it’s a community that cares. It’s a community I’m proud to be a part of.”  Valerie Dragon, fashion merchandiser

“Because we know how to celebrate love and life in Bel-Air!”  Sam Lichauco, student

“It’s No. 1 in fun because the camaraderie among residents cuts across ages.”  Chona Borja, travel consultant and entrepreneur

“Bel-Air is definitely No.1 in fun because everyone is recognized here as a vital part of the community. Because of this, we are all able to work together in building the nation by serving in this fun and family-friendly environment we call Bel-Air.”  Paolo Louis Benno Ocampo, student and stage performer

“It’s because everyone is given the chance to feel that they are part of a community and that they can pretty much be called one big family.”  Maia Marquez, student

“We are like one happy brood. We get to bond through different activities provided by the village. These activities help enhance and cultivate our skills.”  Iya Aguilar, student

“It’s because we all give our time to celebrate a community that upholds togetherness, development, laughter and fun. We grow together, we live together and we have fun together as one.”  Erin Locsin, student and event coordinator

“Bel-Air is No. 1 in fun because we get to connect to people in the community and have a special bond with each other through dancing in the Pasinaya.”  Bela Dragon, student

“Drained after five hours of difficult surgery, I still find myself looking forward to the Pasinaya practice at night. The volunteers are all pleased to show their sense of truly belonging to a community  an esprit de corps that I am proud to say I am a part of. It’s always just so much fun.”  Lora Garcia-Tansengco, obstetrician-gynecologist.

“I grew up in Bel-Air and now that I have my own family, I am so happy that my children have the opportunity to live in this wonderful community. Bel-Air is No. 1 in fun because people here are encouraged to know their neighbors and foster friendships. My kids love Bel-Air and look forward to summer because of Pasinaya and the many fun activities provided. Their closest friends are those they met in Pasinaya. Aside from Pasinaya, Bel-air provides a variety of summer activities from art classes, basketball clinics, chess and soccer to keep kids engaged and get them connected throughout the entire summer.”  Patricia Bautista Turcuato, senior brand manager
