Mane attraction

MANILA, Philippines - Women typically start their day with smooth, silky and lustrous hair, fresh from morning hairstyling. But as the day goes by, hair ends up rough, dry, frizzy and unkempt. Hair that is proudly worn down in the morning ends up being wrestled into a bun.

“These women need a conditioner that will give them soft, smooth hair all day!” says Pantene brand manager Tristan Patricio. This conditioner, he says, is Pantene Intensive Conditioner that has 80 percent more conditioning ingredients.

At the recent World-Class Hair Event at the Loft Manansala in Rockwell, Makati, Pantene flew in internationally-acclaimed hair master and celebrity stylist Barney Martin to showcase fabulous hairstyles and upcoming hair trends created using Pantene conditioner.

Over the past 18 years, the globe-trotting Barney Martin has been at the forefront of styling for international titles such as Vogue Australia, British Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. His list of clientele includes world-famous celebrities such as Kate Moss, Drew Barrymore and Lily Cole.

At the World-Class Hair Event, Pantene ambassador Gretchen Barretto and the country’s top fashion bloggers added to the list of stylish people who experienced Martin’s suave hairstyling. These proudly Filipina style bloggers were Camille Co, a model, entrepreneur and the creative designer of Coexist; Kryz Uy, a stylist, writer and So! FAB brand ambassador; Laureen Uy, a stylist and budding actress; and Patricia Prieto, a celebrity stylist, soccer player and designer for her independent line.

The hair show was culminated by style maven Gretchen Barretto. “I’m thrilled to have been styled by an international celebrity stylist like Barney for tonight — but with Pantene Conditioner, I know I can get world-class hair with all-day smoothness every day!” says Gretchen.
