Visions of luxury and elegance

MANILA, Philippines - Fashion and five-star luxury living took center stage recently at the Philippine Fashion Week.

The SMDC Grand Showroom at the SM Mall of Asia was transformed into an elegant venue as SM Development Corp. (SMDC), the country’s No. 1 condominium developer, celebrated five-star luxury living via a glamorous fashion show featuring the Spring/Summer 2012 collections of Chris Diaz, Lizanne Cua and Eric de los Santos.

Hosted by top model Sarah Meier-Albano, the show featured the 45-piece collections of each designer, which epitomized the real estate company’s vision of luxury and elegance.

Chris Diaz showcased his upbeat, neo-boho, modern take on the mysterious and fascinating tribal culture. His collection titled Techihhila used soft modern silhouettes that were executed in denim, cottons, printed fabrics, lycra, pleated jersey, jersey fabrics, knits, faux suede, damask, twill and tulle. The collection ideally complemented the suburban lifestyles of those who reside in Chateau Elysee and Field Residences.

An array of more sensual and body-hugging silhouettes via a collection of daywear that flows into evening wear was featured in Lizanne Cua’s Thirteen collection. Lizanne’s, as well as Chris’ collections, were inspired by the corporate chic vibe of Jazz Residences and Grass Residences, as well as today’s campus stars who call the Blue Residences, Green Residences, Sun Residences, Princeton Residences and Mezza 2 Residences their home.

Celebrity go-to designer Eric de los Santos closed the show with his Wave collection, which used soft materials like silk chiffon, georgette as well as stretch leather and silk fringes. These pieces were inspired by the relaxed, bohemian lifestyle that’s perfect for resort living at Wind and Shell Residences.

Chris, Eric and Lizanne’s designs showed that these designers share SMDC’s passion to provide glamorous five-star homes that offer stylish and convenient living.
