The world unites at Society Lounge

“Little moments can have a feeling and a texture that is very real.”  — Ralph Fiennes

It was as if the entire world came together recently at the elegant dining and lounge hotspot that is Society Lounge. In this sophisticated destination, ambassadors and diplomats from various nations recently dined and enjoyed a lovely evening. Society Lounge is known for its authentic and stylish European interiors, irresistible menu and fascinating wine and champagne collection.

Notable personalities savored the appetizing dishes made by Society Lounge GM and master chef Patrice Freuslon. The fare he prepared was inspired by the FrenchFashionFood Company of France, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon. The dishes were paired with aged-to-perfection wines and fine champagne plus the impeccable service of the amiable staff.

Among those who had a great time at Society Lounge were the Netherlands Ambassador Robert Brinks, German Ambassador Christian-Ludwig Weber-Lortsch with wife Trang, Turkish Ambassador Hatice Pinar Isik, Embassy of Venezuela chargé d’ affaires Manuel Perez Iturbe, Australia Consul General Hugh Wilson with wife Georgette, Zambia Consul Louie Ablaza with wife Guatemala Consul Mellie Ablaza and Angola Consul Helen Ong.

Cheers to Patrice Freuslon and to Society Lounge for hosting another excellent gathering!

FCCP goes Broadway!

It will be a splendid night of music for a noteworthy cause as The Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) celebrates its 31st anniversary with a captivating ball on Oct. 21 at the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La. The FCCP is a non-stock non-profit organization founded in 1979 for the development and nurture of artistically-talented young people. Harworking FCCP president Beth Cristobal, together with energetic members of the annual ball committee director Mabel Abaño, chairperson Yoli Ayson and co-chairpersons governor Baby Ortiz and Marissa Fenton, will lead the fundraising affair. Billed as “Smash Hits of Broadway with the friends,” the event will feature outstanding artists like Cocoy and Denise Laurel as well as talented members and guests of FCCP with the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra.
