Just recently, the prestigious Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) presented the Management Award of the Year 2006 to two of the most highly recognized individuals in the country today: Metrobank Group chair George S.K. Ty and Ayala Corp. chair and CEO Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala II. Equally known for their outstanding and highly diversified achievements in business and sincerity in corporate social responsibilities, both gentlemen rightfully accepted their awards from 2006 MAP president Evelyn Singson and 2007 MAP president Albert del Rosario.
Others present to celebrate such a momentous occasion and milestone were Metrobank chairman Antonio Abacan, the lovely Philippine Savings Bank treasurer Margaret "Peggy" Ty-Cham, PLDT top honcho Manny Pangilinan, Metrobank president Arthur Ty, Roberto de Ocampo, Metrobank vice chairman Ramon Y. Sy, the distinguished Jaime Zobel de Ayala, the proud wife Lizzie Zobel de Ayala and the very influential Fernando and Kit Zobel de Ayala.
During their acceptance speeches, both notable awardees acknowledged each others’ presence further impressing the audience with their greatness, both very deserving gentlemen for such an esteemed award.

Spotted in the get-togethers were notables such as Sen. Mar Roxas, Rep. Gilbert Teodoro and lovely wife Nikki, Sen. Serge Osmeña and venerable businessman Washington Sycip, among many others. The final "party" was a lunch hosted by her Manila Polo Club Tennis Group at the Shang Palace.
