Philtown celebrates the good life

"Life without love is like a tree without blossom and fruit."– Kahlil Gibran

Philtown Properties, one of the country’s leading real estate developers with premier projects such as One McKinley Place, Fairways Tower and The Metropolitan, hosted the second leg of its The Good Life concert series featuring diva Kuh Ledesma.

Fresh from successfully holding the first private concert with sultry singer Verni Varga, Philtown once again invited proud unit owners and prospective buyers to an evening of musical bliss. The Edge showroom in Bonifacio Global City provided the elegant venue to accompany the gourmet cocktails and enchanting songs from one of the country’s most celebrated singers. Serenading the audience with timeless classics such as The Nearness of You, When I Fall In Love and her own hits such as I Think I’m In Love and Dito Ba, the songstress highlighted the benefits that come with owning luxurious living spaces by Philtown.

The concert series is one of the many thanksgiving treats that Philtown has organized for its supporters and buyers. Now celebrating its 10th year, Philtown gears up for the growing demands of the real estate market. Tracing its beginnings in 1995, the company has shown steady growth and has established its position as a developer of quality projects at affordable prices. The next leg of Philtown’s The Good Life will feature singer and comedienne Mitch Valdez.

It was presented by Philtown Properties together with Joey 92.3.

Hail and farewell
Associates and friends in the diplomatic, cultural, and business communities, and in local society bade farewell to long-time senior Trade Commissioner Dr. Wolfgang Harwalik at a cocktail reception held at the ballroom of Mandarin Oriental Manila. The eight-year Manila posting would turn out to be Dr. Harwalik’s last at the Austrian Trade Commission, as he enjoys his retirement in Austria. During his term, Dr. Harwalik helped strengthen ties between Austria and the Philippines via trade and cultural links. He also served as the vice president of the Johann Strauss Society, Inc. At the reception, he also introduced his successor, Dr. Walter Hoefle, who was until recently the senior Trade Commissioner in Stockholm, Sweden.

Have a safe trip back home, Wolfgang!
Johnny congratulates…
… the Rotary Club of Manila, the first in Asia and the largest in the country, for recently launching the Commitment to Justice Annual Awards, a nationwide program that will reward trial judges who have the highest disposition of cases in a particular year. The objective of the award is to serve as an incentive to all judges to be prompt, efficient, effective, and innovative in disposing cases without unduly prejudicing the just and fair administration of justice.

The Rotary Club of Manila is headed by its president Cesar Ubaldo. The project was conceived and launched during the term of the club’s immediate past president Alex Yap.

Aside from the recognition that will be bestowed upon the winning judges, they will receive plaques of recognition, cash prizes, law books, computers with legal research systems, insurance coverage and endorsements to the Judicial and Bar Council.
