An angel named Patricia

* * *

Somewhere up in heaven, an angel is smiling down upon us. Her name is Patricia. Once a professional model, loving daughter, caring sister and dear friend, Patricia "Tricia" Borromeo was also a kind-hearted woman who dreamed of helping sick children. Only that dream was not fully realized because Tricia has gone on to become one of God’s angels.

Recently, in what was supposed to be Tricia’s 32nd birthday, people close to her came together to help make her dream come true – to help kids afflicted with cancer. More than 600 guests were welcomed by Tricia’s mom Myrna at Dish in Rockwell, one of Tricia’s favorite venues. The charity birthday party was nothing short of a grand production and reunion, truly a labor of love and generosity for that night’s superstar. Slide show videos, music from deejays and live bands such as Blow, Sugar Shack and Side A and great food were aplenty. Finally, almost P700,000 was raised for the UP-PGH Pediatric Cancer Ward! Tricia’s dream had finally come true!

Happy birthday, Tricia!
