Stumbling block

- Marco S. Pabilan, Jr., Camarines Sur -

Upon reading news that NPAs torched P100M worth of equipment intended for the construction of an airport site in Bicol, I ask myself, why is the NPA doing this? Why do they dislike the onrush of progress in the provinces?

The construction of the Southern Luzon International Airport in Daraga, Albay will be a big boost to the economy and tourism. Commerce in the place will become alive and there would be more jobs for the people. Think of the good revenues the new airport will bring.

I also read that soldiers will be requested to secure the place while the site is under construction. With NPAs around and can strike at anytime, these security forces is urgently needed.

Progress and prosperity should not be hindered. Progress is needed in our country to help improve the people’s lives. The NPAs are the blocking force that stops the achievement of progress.

To the NPAs please do not stand in the way of progress and prosperity.
