Commendation
Greetings of peace!
This letter is an expression of how I feel regarding the good deeds of our government forces especially in far flung areas like the one in my hometown.
I am a 4th year student of a school in Jolo, Sulu and I am really grateful that our place is no longer in headlines of newspapers, television stations, and radios.
Instead, what you can see on tv, read in newspapers, hear in radio stations are news regarding the various activities of our military in partnership with our local government like road projects, deep wells, construction of school buildings, clean up drives among other endeavors that ought to give little comfort to the public that they serve.
Through these projects of which majority of us have benefited, I will be forever thankful to our soldiers for their relentless efforts in building our future for us through the schools that they have built.
Likewise, our parents and other relatives have easier access in bringing our crops to the market since we already have concrete roads. My fellow Suluanos have potable water as deep wells were as well built for us.
Through all these, in behalf of my classmates, my teachers, we are so indebted to all those involved in serving us for bringing little comfort they gave to our daily lives. As what my little brother has said, “Indah, mabayah aku mahinang sundalu pag lagguh ku” (Sister, I want to be a soldier when I grow up).
It feels good that many of us have good perceptions toward our soldiers. Their services really mean a lot to us. They do not just guard us from bad people who meant harm but as well made us realize how important infrastructure projects are because this is one way of how we can improve our lives and communities in the future.
To all soldiers out there, I salute all of you. May Allah bless you all and give you more strength so that you will not get tired of helping us. As a return, we also promise to help ourselves to achieve a brighter future.
