‘Pag-subpoena sa tax records ni Sara dedesisyunan sa Lunes
MANILA, Philippines — Sa Lunes, Hulyo 20 nakatakdang desisyunan ng Impeachment Court ang oral arguments ng House prosecution panel at defense team kaugnay sa pagpa-subpoena sa tax, bank at Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) records ni Vice President Sara Duterte at asawang si Atty. Mans Carpio.
Ang desisyon ay nabuo matapos mag-caucus ang mga senator-judges nitong Miyerkules ng hapon.
Ayon kay Presiding Officer Francis Escudero, nagkasundo ang mga senator-judges na magkaroon ng oras upang pag-aralan ang “complicated issues” kaugnay sa pagpapalabas ng subpoena.
“The senator-judges agreed in caucus to decide on the matter on Monday and that on Monday, senator judges who wish to ask the parties questions will be afforded the time to ask these questions again on both sides,” dagdag ni Escudero.
Samantala, iniurong ng House prosecution panel at hindi na pahaharapin sa impeachment ang lima sa kanilang mga natitirang testigo sa Article 4 o ang pagbabanta ni Duterte kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos at dating House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
