Horoscope

February 24, 2004

- Joyce Jillson -
The energy between Mars and Neptune intensifies just in time for Mardi Gras. It looks to be an inspiring and transcendent time for those who are celebrating the holiday, though it’s also easy to go too far. Aggressive energy is strong, so those who tend to get in fights when they drink should just stay home!

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. There’s so much going on, it’s hard to focus. Beautiful scenery will make you feel vital. Go where there’s a view, and do some thinking. If you take the time to clear your head, you’ll be much more productive.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Friends and relatives are on your side, but they sure have a funny way of showing it. You’ll have to adjust your expectations to accept whatever it is they have to say, or better yet, just blow it off.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Part of being a mature adult is seeing the long view. When you realize the transient nature of things, you’ll feel much happier. Even a heavy cloud is just a cloud – when the wind changes, it could dissipate and blow away.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
The schedule might require sudden alterations, but being flexible is one of the beautiful things about you! It can feel lonely when nobody notices your many strengths, but that’s why you have to give yourself more credit.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
You focus yourself with laser precision, and this is especially impressive if you use the ability to get down to business at work. It seems that nobody can home in on a goal like you can. Cuddle up with dear ones tonight.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (February 24).
Your fortune definitely improves this year as you tap into a new well of optimism. Much of your success depends on attitude alone over the next seven weeks. You’ve got special charisma and, if single, will date frequently through spring. Be careful to follow the golden rule, as you have the power, and karma comes back around in June. Your lucky numbers are: 5, 25, 10, 30 and 45.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
Try not to be in such a hurry, or later, you’ll wonder how you arrived at the goal. Being able to duplicate success will ultimately bring happiness, whereas winning when you don’t know why you won will be frustrating.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23).
The laws of attraction are absolutely backward. You could literally stand on your head to try to make someone fall in love with you, but it’s not as effective as ignoring that person completely. Take quiet time to think tonight.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21)
. Get resolution on the issues that need it the most. Anything that’s left up in the air makes you feel anxious. Loved ones give signals about their feelings, but you’ll have to be tuned in 100 percent to catch them!

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
There will be "yes" answers, and there will be "no" answers. The former should be taken with a grain of realism, and the latter should be seen as a preliminary block, not a final reply. Tonight features a mutual disclosure.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Your time is occupied to the second today but not necessarily by the things that are truly important to you. Exercise will help you feel better. The oxygen will help you clear out the cobwebs so you can prioritize.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
You’re getting into the swing of a regular schedule. This may be unlike any schedule you’ve ever kept before, which is what makes your life such a thrill right now. New activities and people stretch the comfort zone.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Satisfaction and happiness are two different things. Strive for the first, and you’re likely to experience the second as a natural byproduct. However, if you go for happiness first, it will elude you.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"My last (disastrous) love affair has made me gun-shy. I was born Jan. 8, 1943. Would marriage with another Capricorn be fortunate?"

Two Capricorns are good together IF they have something in common besides their admiration and love for one another. You see, Capricorns always have a need to do, to improve and to be involved with life. If you do not have mutual interests, you may develop conflicts when you each try to do your own activities. Remember that Capricorns of both sexes want security in love, so offer as much as you yourself would desire.

"Are Libra and Aries as horrible together as everyone says?"

An Aries husband is usually very fervent in going after career and business goals, while his Libra wife appreciates his efforts. Aries and Libras are always great business partners because they each have attributes that complement one another. In marriage, a Libra would help the Aries be aware of the finer things in life. Libras show the ambitious Aries that a rich family and home life actually adds to career goals, by providing a haven from the difficulties of business.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
There’s a transformation in store for Pisces Sean Astin, who so far is best known for his portrayal of Samwise Gamgee in the "Lord of the Rings" series. Pisces versatility is more of a tone than a look, though, and actors of this sign can create amazing changes through attitude alone. Look for Astin to play a sex symbol in his next role!
