Horoscope

December 04, 2002

- Joyce Jillson -
Just when folks have all but given up on their love lives ever making any sense, lady Venus decides to ease our romantic burden by going direct through the sign of passion. Such a transit will be increasingly felt over the next few weeks, as if a fog were clearing over the forest of our hearts. The levity of the Gemini moon doesn’t hurt, either.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Acquiring new skills secures your job. Work a little harder. A plumper bank account cures financial stress. Tune out nagging family members by not laying their game. Stay politely neutral, even if you’re itching for a fight.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Think practically, but take time to tune in to your inner wisdom first. At work, things go better when you say what you mean instead of thinking others will automatically get it. Love is volcanic with a fire sign like Leo or Aries.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Use your great ideas to make a collar stretch. A friend encourages more spending than is necessary, so counteract with prudence. A mentor has great help to offer, but you’ll need to accept some frank criticism.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)
. Communicate your needs clearly, and the job gets done right. Enjoy friendships; neither ask for nor grant large favors. There’s lightness in this evening’s atmosphere – laugh and have fun.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
You’ve got a story to tell that will help others. Write things down. An ex-lover will venture to gain approval, much to the dismay of a current love. Singles make fantastic connections with someone right in the neighborhood.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (December 04).
Prepare your mind to accept this year of wealth. Be open to new ideas. Be alert to a joint business opportunity and a mater or best friend can do together. Lump sumps of money in January allow you to buy a home or move. Your best signs for love are Libra and Aquarius, although a Gemini friend will change the course of your life or career. Your lucky numbers are: 14, 16, 7, 42 and 39.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
If it isn’t fun, don’t do it – but if you have to do it, make it fun. Relationships improve in a different environment. Kids need direction and guidance and perhaps a good diet to help them concentrate.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
A little shameless self-promotion goes a long way. Spread happy news, as it gives other hope. Remain poised during all money dealings. If you shop, the temptation to overspend is strong.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
When you’re productive, you’ll feel better; and when you’re feeling great, you’ll be more productive. Don’t argue about responsibilities – they all get taken care of by their rightful owners. Romantic opportunity knocks this afternoon.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
If it’s change you want, examine all aspects of your routine. It’s the perfect night to assess your health. Don’t punish yourself; simply make some new choices. A vital Virgo can contribute fabulous information.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Be patient – the deal probably won’t close right away, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen eventually. Gently guide those working under you – one of them will soon be working over you.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
If an investment falls through, another opportunity is better anyhow. Your love life improves when you finally complete what is pending at work. Flattery will get you far, even with usually hard-nosed people.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Being afraid to say "no" will get you into trouble later, so you may as well start practicing now! Handle the hard tasks first, and then, everything falls into place. Financial dealings work out well.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"I’m a Gemini at the crossroads personally and professionally. I love my current love, but recent client acquisitions threaten its security. I have a number of good friends but no special someone to share my future with. Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to address both problems?"

What you’re struggling with now is simply a lack of faith. Sometimes, it’s hard for a lighthearted Gemini to get grounded in a feeling of knowing everything is going to be all right. Your ability to learn quickly and do things well with little effort is a gift that adds to your life in numerous ways but detracts from your life in one way: You sometimes feel you have no roots. You fit in with many different situations but often ask yourself: Where do I belong? My suggestion is to take this pressure off yourself immediately. It might help to realize that even those people you perceive as "having a life" feel the very same way you do – like they’re facing an uncertain future. Start a journal where you frequently list the ways that your life, just as it is right now, is real, fulfilling and exciting.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
The hard-to-classify, totally original style of Ricky Lee Jones continues to sell out theatrical concert venues at a time when very few artists are doing so. Being one of a kind helps – and so will her tight relationship with a young artist, such as Nora Jones or Jewel. A new song by Ricky Lee Jones in 2003 could become the theme for a popular sitcom.
