Eala is expected to have her highest seeding in a Grand Slam tournament in the 2026 US Open.

Last year, she made history when she became the first Filipina to tally a win in a Grand Slam tournament after defeating Clara Tauson.

Eala, however, crashed out of the second round of the tourney.

Now, she is eyeing a much-deeper run in the US Open.

The pride of the Philippines reached the fourth round of Wimbledon last month.

The partnership between Eala and Williams is not new.

The two teamed up in the Bad Homburg Open doubles and reached the quarterfinal round. They also joined forces in the Canadian Open earlier this month but got the boot in the first round.

The draw of the US Open is expected to be unveiled soon.

Meanwhile, the World No. 18 tennister Eala will also see action in the ”Stars of the Open” exhibition against Iva Jovic.

The latter has defeated the former twice in singles’ action.
