MANILA, Philippines — GT Capital Holdings Inc., the diversified conglomerate of the Ty family, has announced the passing of longtime executive Jose Crisol Jr.

Crisol, GT Capital’s senior vice president and head of investor relations, strategic planning and corporate communications, joined the company in 2012.

“Mr. Crisol will be remembered not only for his exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication, but also for exemplifying the GT Capital values of integrity and excellence throughout his years of service,” the company said in a stock exchange filing.

“GT Capital extends its deepest sympathies to Mr. Crisol’s family and loved ones,” it said.

Before joining GT Capital, Crisol served as assistant vice president for investor relations at SM Investments Corp. Prior to that, he was a director at the Department of Trade and Industry, where he headed the agency’s Trade and Industry Information Center.

His other past employment includes occupying various positions at The Philippine American Life Insurance Co. and Merrill Lynch Philippines Inc.

Crisol completed his primary and secondary education at Ateneo de Manila University. He earned a master’s degree in business economics from University of Asia and the Pacific and a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of the Philippines-Diliman.
