CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A man was arrested for allegedly transporting illegal petroleum products valued at P426,000 in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro on Monday.

The suspect was driving a tanker truck loaded with 6,000 liters of unleaded gasoline when he was intercepted at a checkpoint in Barangay Sta. Rita.

The identity of the driver was withheld pending the filing of charges against him.

The driver reportedly failed to show documents authorizing the transport of his cargo, according to Brig. Gen. Christopher dela Cruz, Mimaropa police director.
