MANILA, Philippines — Scalpers reselling concert tickets for South Korean super group BTS at exorbitant prices has prompted Sen. Francis Pangilinan to call for the immediate passage of his proposed anti-scalping measure.

Senate Bill 1989, the Anti-Ticket Scalping Act, will criminalize the resale of event tickets beyond a regulated price threshold.

Tickets for the “Arirang” World Tour on March 13 and 14, 2027 at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan are being resold for P30,000 to P90,000, according to complaints received by Pangilinan’s office.

Official organizers have priced VIP soundcheck tickets at P25,000 and bleachers 2 section seats at P7,500.

If enacted into law, scalpers will face six months in prison and a fine of P100,000 for the first offense and three years in prison and a fine of P500,000 for the third offense.
