Former TAPE exec new PTV GM
MANILA, Philippines — A veteran television executive has been named general manager of state-run People’s Television Network (PTV).
In its Facebook page, PTV announced the appointment of its new general manager Maria Lourdes Choa-Fagar, former president and chief executive officer of Television and Productions Exponents (TAPE) Inc.
TAPE was the production company behind the longest-running noontime show “Eat Bulaga!” The 46-year-old show is now co-produced by TVJ and Mediaquest.
In an interview with PTV, Fagar said she intends to beef up the programming of the state-run network and improve its facilities.
Fagar replaced lawyer Robert Doller, who was elected PTV general manager last April.
