MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections intends to bring its voters’ education roadshow to churches and other big venues in the country.

Comelec Chairman George Garcia said the poll body is encouraging private organizations to submit a request for the poll body to conduct a demonstration of the automated counting machine to be used in the May 2025 midterm elections.

“We are encouraging private organizations, especially those who can invite in your areas with large venues, please tell the local Comelec, they are properly instructed to give in to the church, regardless of denomination. We are all open to request to the Commission on Elections,” Garcia said in a chance interview yesterday.

The Comelec chief said they are also encouraging private groups to assist the poll body in taking its voters’ education roadshow to far-flung areas.

The Comelec yesterday kicked off the roadshow that would cover all barangays in every municipality and city in the country.

The voters’ education campaign will run until Jan. 30, 2025.
