PAGASA forecasts fair, hot weather
MANILA, Philippines — Fair and hot weather is forecast for Metro Manila and most parts of the country today, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Temperatures in Metro Manila will range between 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
This comes as the northeast monsoon, which brings cold and dry air, is only affecting extreme Northern Luzon.
The monsoon, locally known as amihan, is bringing light rains over Batanes and the Babuyan islands.
The start of the northeast monsoon season was declared on Tuesday, which signals colder days for the country.
PAGASA said there will be surges of the northeasterly winds in the next two weeks.
Meanwhile, the easterlies are bringing scattered rains over Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao Region.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country may see isolated rains due to the easterlies.
PAGASA warned of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The state weather bureau added that there is currently no weather disturbance inside the Philippine area of responsibility.
