MANILA, Philippines — Inclement weather has prompted the suspension of classes in some areas.
The rains come even as PAGASA said it does not expect any storms in the Philippine Area of Responsibility for the early part of this week. The rains persist because of the southwest monsoon.
Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol region, and Western Visayas will still experience cloudy skies with scattered rains due to the southwest monsoon on Monday.
Improved weather condition is expected over Metro Manila by Tuesday and Wednesday, Gener Quitlong, PAGASA senior weather forecaster, said Sunday.
