MANILA, Philippines — Apart from isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, fair weather will prevail over most parts of the country, including Metro Manila, in the next three days as the southwest monsoon weakens.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) yesterday said no weather disturbance was enhancing the moisture-laden southwest monsoon.

PAGASA senior weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio, however, continued to warn against sudden downpour in the afternoon or evening due to thunderstorms.

In Metro Manila, the forecast maximum temperature in the next days is 32 degrees Celsius.

PAGASA said parts of Northern Luzon, including Abra, Benguet, and Ilocos region as well as Bataan and Zambales would still experience monsoon rains but not as intense as in the past days.

It is also optimistic that Angat Dam in Bulacan, the main source of potable water of Metro Manila residents, would reach its normal level of 180 meters this month if monsoon rains continue.
