MANILA, Philippines — As the world celebrates Valentine’s Day on Thursday, the Philippine Postal Corp. (PHLPost) is offering a weeklong “Pada-LOVE” service that includes its signature “singing kartero (postman).”
For this year, the PHLPost Mega Manila Area launched its “Pada-LOVE! Magpadala, Kiligin, Ma-inlove,” which offers the “Singing Kartero Package” from Feb. 11 to 15.
For P2,500, the “Singing Kartero Package” includes a bouquet of flowers, a greeting card and two songs from the singing mailman.
PHLPost is also including cakes, chocolates or stuffed toys in the delivery, but these come with additional charges.
The services will be available in 16 participating National Capital Region (NCR) post offices that include Manila, Quezon City, Makati, Parañaque, Marikina, Caloocan Central, Caloocan North, Pasay, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Pasig, Taguig, Valenzuela, Novaliches, Las Piñas and Muntinlupa.
This special Valentine’s Day service is also available in Cebu City (Area 5), Cagayan de Oro (Area 8) and San Pablo City (Area 4).
The Manila Central Post Office will serve as the central hub for swapping of parcels/gift items for delivery. The cut-off time for same-day delivery is 10 a.m. only, while for next-day delivery, from 10 a.m. onwards.
