MANILA, Philippines — The Senate and the House of Representatives ratified Wednesday the 105-day Expanded Maternity Leave bill.

“This bill is a victory for women, a victory for the unborn and a victory for families,” Parañaque Rep. Gus Tambunting said.

Senators and congressmen comprising Congress’ bicameral conference committee approved Monday the bill that added five more days to the original 100-day maternity bill from the previous 60 days.
