MANILA, Philippines - Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) retailers have raised the price of cooking gas and auto LPG for the third straight month in December, tracking the climb in global prices.
Eastern Petroleum Corp. hiked the price of EC Gas by P2.80 per kilogram or P30.80 for an 11-kilogram starting 6 a.m. today.
The latest price adjustment reflects the uptrend in international contract price of LPG, Eastern Petroleum said.
Following the price increase, EC Gas cylinders now trade at an average of P621.35 to P641.35.
Petron Corp. raised the price of LPG by P2.80 per kilogram 6 a.m. Tuesday.
The country’s largest oil refiner also hiked the price of Auto LPG by P1.57 per liter.
The LPG price increase came a week after the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers’ Association (LPGMA) announced a P3-per-kilo rollback in prices of cooking gas last Thursday.
Following this reduction, the new suggested retail price is pegged at P460 per 11-kilogram cylinder.
