MANILA, Philippines – Australian Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull on Tuesday afternoon landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit on Wednesday.
Turnbull will attend the APEC Leaders’ Meeting for the first time after replacing Tony Abbott as the leader of the Australia's Liberal Party.
He was welcomed by Australian ambassador to the Philippines Bill Tweddell, Justice Secretary Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa, Department of Justice Undersecretary Therese Tesoro and Manila International Airport Authority General Manager Jose Angel Honrado.
The prime minister arrived simultaneously with South Korean President Park Gyeun-Hye who arrived at the NAIA Terminal 1.
