MANILA, Philippines – Despite isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, fair weather is expected throughout the country until Wednesday.
No tropical cyclone is expected to enter the country within the next three days, according to Aldczar Aurelio, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather forecaster.
“The whole country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms,” he said.
The ridge of high-pressure area, which usually brings clear skies, was extending over Northern Luzon, Aurelio said.
Northern and Central Luzon would have moderate to rough seas, PAGASA said.
In other areas, the coastal waters would be slight to moderate, it added.
One to two tropical cyclones are expected to enter the country this month, PAGASA said.
Last week, Tropical Storm Kabayan, the first cyclone to enter the Philippines this month, dumped heavy rains in several areas in Luzon.
