MANILA, Philippines - A tropical depression outside the Philippine area of responsibility is seen to enter the country by Wednesday or Thursday, weather bureau PAGASA said.

The tropical depression was last located 2,200 kilometers east of Luzon.

PAGASA weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio on Tuesday said in an interview that the tropical depression will not directly affect the country and has a slim chance to make landfall.

However, it will enhance the southwest monsoon or "habagat" which will bring rains.

The tropical depression will be called "Jenny" once it enters the PAR.

Meanwhile, the intertropical convergence zone will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms over western Visayas, Davao region, northern Mindanao and Mindoro province.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms.
