MANILA, Philippines - After listening to President Benigno Aquino III's last State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, lawmakers and their guests and foreign dignitaries will be treated to a light dinner at the House of Representatives.
According to the SONA menu released by the HR's Public Relations and Information Bureau (PRIB) to media outlets, the president's guests will be treated to both cold and hot buffet.
At the carving station, guests will be treated with the hot buffet, consisting of black Angus with soft pan rolls with caper mayonnaise, bacon wrapped chicken rolls, chicken barbecue kebabs, eastern shrimp rolls with sweet chili sauce, bread sticks with quartro formaggio dip, pasta carbonara and cappellinni a la puttanesca. On the other hand, the cold buffet consists of an assortment of cocktail sanwiches, including chicken asparagus rolls, cheese pimiento and tuna pinwheels, crab and olive open faced sandwich, and wasabi burgers.
Cheese platters will also be served as well as sweets such as chocolate eclair, fresh fruit panacotta.
Guests will also have a choice to wash all the food down with either green tea or a raspberry ice tea. The buffet costs P700 per guest, the PRIB said.
