MANILA, Philippines - Third time’s a charm for Pia Wurtzbach as she finally claimed the Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2015 crown Sunday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Wurtzbach was also awarded Bb. Creamsilk.

The 25-year-old model, who hails from Cagayan de Oro, bagged first runner-up in the beauty pageant in 2013 and made it to the Top 15 in last year’s competition.

During the question-and-answer portion, Wurtzbach was asked by Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo about her thoughts on online censorship.

“I think we should be careful with what we post online, especially our thoughts and our opinions, that we don’t hurt anybody, especially selfies. We have to be careful with what we post, especially with our bodies and our faces. So always think before you click,” Wurtzbach answered.

Mary Jean Lastimosa, outgoing Bb. Pilipinas Universe, also won the title on her third attempt.

Palawan native Janicel Lubina was proclaimed Bb. Pilipinas International.

Lubina, daughter of a domestic helper and a former housemaid herself, also took home the Best in Swimsuit and Best in Long Gown awards.

Joining the winner’s circle are Bb. Pilipinas Tourism Ann Lorraine Colis, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational Rogelie Catacutan and Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Christi Lynn McGarry.

Runners-up were Hannah Ruth Lulu Sison and Kimverlyn Suiza.

The winners were selected by a panel of judges chaired by Justice Secretary Leila de Lima.

Pre-pageant favorite Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez, daughter of celebrities-cum-politicians Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno, made it to the Top 15.

Marquez received the Best in Talent, Best in National Costume and She’s so Jag awards.
