MANILA, Philippines - Former Sens. Joker Arroyo and Rene Saguisag will serve as counsels of Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin "Junjun" Binay Jr.
Arroyo and Saguisag reiterated that the Senate Blue Ribbon committee violated the rules following the proceedings ordering the arrest and detention of Binay.
A former chair of the Blue Ribbon committee, Arroyo noted that Senate should revisit the rules in able to make it consistent with due process.

During a press conference after his release, Binay stressed that his rights were violated as the Senate ruling only ordered his arrest and detention.
"Yes, I was forced to attend the hearing," Binay told members of the press.
The Senate issued the arrest warrant of Binay on Thursday, who was charged with contempt for repeatedly refusing to attend Senate hearings on the alleged overpriced Makati Science High School and Makati City Hall Building 2.
Binay was forcibly dragged into the Senate session hall after being detained for more than three hours at the office of the Senate sergeant-at-arms.
Sen. Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III ordered the release of Binay after appearing at the Senate and reiterating that he will no longer participate in the proceedings of the said investigation.
