Alan Cayetano claims getting death threat
MANA, Philippines - Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano on Wednesday night claimed receiving a death threat.
In a statement released by the office of the senator, it said a staff received the death threat at around 5 p.m.
"The Caller said: 'Paki sabi kay Senator Alan, isang bala lang siya pag di sya nanahimik,'" the office of the senator said.
It siad the call was reported to the Senate Office of Sergeant-at-Arms and the Senate police.
Earlier, Sen. Antonio Trillanes said in media interviews that Vice President Jejomar Binay might have him killed for releasing proofs of his alleged illegal wealth.
Cayetano and Trillanes are members of the Senate Blue Ribbon Sub-committee conducting a legislative inquiry on the allegations of corruption against the vice president.
