Recto says Vilma Santos won't run for VP

Sen. Ralph Recto confirmed that actress-wife has no plans of running for a higher position in 2016.

MANILA, Philippines - Sen. Ralph Recto has denied speculations that actress-wife Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos will run for vice president alongside United Nationalist Alliance President Jejomar Binay in 2016.

The senator assured that Santos has no plans to run for higher posts in the 2016 elections.

On actor-stepson Luis Manzano possibly running for a post in Batangas, Recto advised Manzano to get married and start a family.

Upon expressing his intent for the presidency, Binay confirmed that he is considering Santos-Recto as his running mate. Speculations on the Binay and Santos-Recto tandem grew louder when the two were seen together during the birthday of Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati's son, Zion.
