3 hazing death suspects leave Philippines

Camille Diola - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Three more suspects in the fatal hazing of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde student Guillo Servando have already fled the country pending the issuance of warrants of arrest against them.

The Bureau of Immigration confirmed Friday that Esmerson Calupas, Hans Killian "Tamarin" Tatlonghari and Eleazar "Trex Garcia" Pablico have left the country ahead of the filing of formal charges on violation of the Anti-Hazing Law.

John Navoa, another of those tagged for Servando's death and assaulting three other students late June, has earlier been reported to have fled the country.

The suspects are members of the Tau Gamma Phi fraternity.

The report came following the issuance of a lookout bulletin by the Department of Justice directing the Bureau of Immigration to put 17 names linked to the deadly initiation rites under close watch.

Servando's father, Aurelio, has appealed on television for the suspects to come forward and listen to their conscience.

"Understand what I am going through, especially if you were one of the lesser evil, less involved. You can still apply for state witness and absolve yourself," the elder Servando said.
