Lookout order issued vs Tau Gamma fratmen

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Justice on Thursday ordered the Bureau of Immigration to note any flight attempts of 17 members of Tau Gamma Phi fraternity, who have been tagged in the hazing death of a De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde student.

Fraternity chapter head Cody Morales led the list of names on the lookout bulletin. The fratmen arebelieved to be involved in the hazing death of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde sophomore Guillo Servando.

The bureau on Wednesday confirmed that Navoa had left the country even before he was charged.

"He was cleared for departure as there [was] no legal basis to prevent his travel," Immigration Commissioner Siegred Mison said.

Mison added that further details of Navoa's travel were still being verified along with the records of three other reported suspects in the fatal assault.

The lookout bulletin was issued ahead of National Bureau of Investigation's filing of charges against 20 people linked to the fatal initiation rites that injured three other students including a minor. - reports from Aie Balagtas See
