Napoles kids pay nearly P1M as bond in graft cases

Janet Lim Napoles, the alleged mastermind of multi-billion scheme to divert taxpayers' money to amass wealth. 

MANILA, Philippines - The two children of businesswoman Janet Napoles on Friday posted P900,000 surety bond for the 15 counts of graft cases in connection with the pork barrel scam before the Sandiganbayan.

Jo Christine and James Christopher Napoles filed a P450,000 surety bond each for the criminal cases filed before the anti-graft court.

Aside from the Napoleses, five others also submitted surety bonds before the 3rd Division of the Sandiganbayan.

The two Napoleses are also being implicated in the plunder case, along with their mother and several others, including Senators Ramon Revilla Jr., Jinggoy Estrada, and Juan Ponce Enrile.

Plunder is a non-bailable offense.
