MANILA, Philippines - Tropical Depression Domeng (international name Peipah) weakened into a low-pressure area yesterday but will continue to bring rains over some parts of the Visayas and Mindanao until today, the state weather bureau said.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the low-pressure area was spotted at 500 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur as of 4 p.m. yesterday.
“This weather system will bring cloudy skies with scattered light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao region,†PAGASA said.
The weather bureau also said moderate to rough seas will prevail in these areas.
