MANILA, Philippines - A pilot was injured after the plane he was flying crashed on a farm in Davao City, police said yesterday.
Capt. Michael Sarael, resident of Nova Tierra Subdivision, Davao City, was spraying fertilizer on a banana plantation when his plane developed engine trouble.
He was slightly injured and brought to Kapalong District Hospital, Asuncion, Davao del Norte.
Reports from the Southern Mindanao Police Office showed the crash occurred at around 8 a.m. last Sunday, in Purok Pag-Asa, Barangay Camoning, Asuncion, Davao del Norte.
The plane (RPR 191), owned by Mactan Aviation in Davao City, was hired by Soriano Fruits Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi Purpose Cooperative to spray fertilizer on its plantation.
