MANILA, Philippines - Former President and reelected Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who is detained in a government hospital on a plunder charge, has become poorer by P11 million.

Based on her statement of assets, liabilities and net worth for 2012, Arroyo’s net worth stood at P120.5 million. She was worth P131.6 million in 2011.

Her liabilities increased by P50 million, from P100 million to P150 million.

The value of her personal assets rose from P154.8 million to P192.6 million.

The value of her real properties slightly went up, from P76.9 million to P77.9 million.

Even if she became poorer by P11 million, the former president still ranked 20th among the richest members of the House of Representatives.

Boxing star Manny Pacquiao of Sarangani tops the list with a net worth of P1.8 billion, followed by former first lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos of Ilocos Norte.

Like Arroyo, Marcos became poorer. The former first lady’s net worth fell from P932.8 million in 2011 to P922.8 million in 2012 due to a P10 million liability.

The net worth of the two Arroyo congressmen-sons remained almost flat.

Juan Miguel Arroyo of party-list group Ang Galing Pinoy declared his 2012 net worth at P100.6 million. He had P27 million in real properties, P91.3 million in personal assets and P17.7 million in liabilities. He was worth P99.3 million in 2011.

Ang Galing Pinoy is among party-list groups the Commission on Elections had barred from participating in the recent elections.

Diosdado Arroyo declared a net worth of P86.2 million for 2012. He had P62.3 million in real properties, P66.1 million in personal assets and P29.1 million in liabilities. In 2011, he was worth P86.1 million, with P62.3 million in real properties, P64.9 million in real assets and P41.2 million in liabilities. He won a second term as representative of Camarines Sur’s second district, beating outgoing Gov. Luis Ray Villafuerte.

The 10 poorest House members in 2012 were Rafael Mariano of Anakpawis (P92,507.15 net worth), Daisy Fuentes of South Cotabato (P118,000), Raymond Palatino of Kabataan (P205,000), Kaka Bag-ao of Akbayan (P230,788.96), Teddy Casiño of Bayan Muna (P466,389.95), Abigail Faye Ferriol of Kalinga (P501,951.02), Joselito Mendoza of Bulacan (P850,000), Cresente Paez of Cooperative Network (P1.2 million), Emmie de Jesus of Gabriela (P1.2 million), and Antonio Tinio of ACT Teachers (P1.3 million).

Mendoza, a former Bulacan governor, became poorer by more than P24 million. His net worth dwindled from P24.5 million in 2011 to P850,000 last year. The value of his real properties went down from P11.2 million to P3.3 million, while his personal assets decreased in value from P23.750 million to P5.750 million. His liabilities decreased from P9.5 million to P8.2 million.
