UNA to continue dancing, skits in sorties

GUIGUINTO, Bulacan, Philippines  â€“ Vice President Jejomar Binay said yesterday that the leaders and candidates of United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) would keep on dancing and delivering comedy skits until the last days of the campaign.

Binay slammed Liberal Party (LP) spokesman and Eastern Samar Rep. Ben Evardone for asking UNA to stop its campaign antics. He described the lawmaker’s challenge as “too elitist.”

“Dancing is just our way of entertaining people who are coming to our sorties. But on their part, even if they dance the people do not want to come to them... That’s the difference,” he said.

The vice president performed a solo number yesterday, dancing the popular Gangnam Style, after Nancy Binay, Mitos Magsaysay and Ernesto Maceda.

He said UNA is the sure winner in May.

“In UNA, the people’s interest is our priority. Unlike the other parties whose priority is the interest of their parties,” Binay said.
