Good weather in the next 3 days – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines - Filipinos will continue to enjoy good weather during the long weekend as no tropical storm is likely to affect the country in the next three days, the weather bureau said yesterday.

However, some areas will experience cloudy skies with light rains due to the cold front prevailing over the Batanes group of islands as of 5 a.m. yesterday.

Cagayan valley and the Ilocos and Cordillera regions will have cloudy skies with light rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated brief rainshowers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA said moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast and east with slight to moderate seas.

PAGASA said all the major dams in Luzon were at normal water level as of yesterday.

The country, specifically Luzon, has received less rainfall in the past days since the passage of tropical storm “Ofel.”

Ofel triggered heavy rains and strong winds in some parts of the Visayas and Mindanao last week, leaving 27 people dead and displacing more than 11,000 families.
