Binay arrives today from Saudi trip
MANILA, Philippines - Vice President Jejomar Binay will arrive today from his trip to Saudi Arabia.
Binay, presidential adviser on overseas Filipino workers (OFW) concerns, was designated by President Aquino to represent him and the country in personally extending his condolences to King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz al-Saud on the death of Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz al-Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Binay is expected to arrive at 4 p.m. today at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1’s dignitaries’ lounge through Emirates Flight (EK) 332.
From Saudi Arabia, Binay had a brief stopover in Dubai where he also met with OFWs there to know their concerns.
Binay said the passing away of Prince Nayef is also a loss for OFWs because Nayef’s successful anti-terrorism campaign kept the OFWs and the people living in Saudi Arabia safe.
