Paris to design beach club

MANILA, Philippines - Paris Hilton is adding another title to her rapidly expanding resumé.

The reality star, who arrived in Manila Sunday, is here to design a beach house for Azure, a Century Properties development.

“I have a lot going on but this is something that I’m most excited about right now,” she said in a video interview recently aired by Century online.

Hilton, who was recently partying in Ibiza, is tasked to design the central amenity of the resort-inspired six-hectare residential development.

“I love the beach lifestyle,” Hilton said. “It’s something that I do, especially every summer. I love going to Ibiza, I love going to St. Tropez and traveling. And they have these amazing beach clubs and I think something like that in the Philippines would just be incredible,” she said.

The reality TV fixture is set to be not only the brand ambassador but will directly oversee the aesthetic components of the beach club.

“I will personally help design The Azure Beach Club,” said Hilton. “I’m excited for people to experience it.”

Robbie Antonio, Century Properties managing director, met with Hilton in the US earlier this year to familiarize her with the project and discuss the details of the collaboration.

“We chose Paris Hilton because of her exposure to travel and her predisposition to many aspects of design – from fashion, beauty, lifestyle to world-class service,” Antonio explained. “Deciding to work with her was the logical choice as we found no other personality more suited to embody the upscale fashionable beachgoer.”

Manila appears to have embraced the reality star, with numerous well-wishers present to greet Hilton as soon as she disembarked from her Qatar Airways plane, leading her to tweet, “Mabuhay Philippines! I just arrived, thousands of fans waiting at the airport when I walked in. I feel so welcomed here! Mahal ko kayo!”

Hilton’s five-day sojourn, consisting of shoots and a party held in her honor on Wednesday, will be capped by the launch of her eponymous boutique in SM Megamall on Thursday.

The hotel heiress, who recently formed a connection with Manny Pacquiao, having been photographed with the boxing champ and his wife at a fight in the US, is also here to meet with the couple and President Aquino.
