MANILA, Philippines – President Aquino has appointed director Mel Chionglo and veteran writer Jo-ann Maglipon as members of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte also announced over dzRB that Budget and Management director Nora Oliveros was named deputy executive secretary for finance under the Office of the President.
She said Ester Aldana, director of the Department of Interior and Local Government’s Financial Management Service, was appointed assistant secretary of the DILG.
Valte added that San Fernando Mayor Oscar Rodriguez would head the Regional Development Council in Region 3 and Mindoro Occidental Gov. Josephine Sato would lead the council in Region 4-B.
Dr. Roberto Ramirez is Rodriguez’s co-chairman.
Other appointees were Reginald Tongol, director 5, with the rank of assistant secretary, under co-terminus status, at the Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office; Felix Mariñas Jr., president of the Natural Resources Development Corp. under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources;
Maria Serena Diokno and Abraham Sakili, members of the board, representing the private sector, National Historical Commission of the Philippines; Victoriano Muring Jr., executive director, MTRCB, for a term expiring on Sept. 30, 2011;
Mariano Agustine Rodriguez, acting director III, Philippine Broadcasting Service, Philippine Information Agency, Presidential Communications Operations Office; and Jesus Apelado Jr.. Register of Deeds III, Eastern Samar, Land Registration Authority, Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
The President also appointed Maria Juanita Montalvan, Avelino Madaje Jr., and Tomas Austral Sr. as members of the Board of Directors of the Bukidnon Forest Inc.
