MANILA, Philippines - Sealed with a kiss, and stamped with love.
The Philippine Postal Corp. (Philpost) recently released Valentine’s Day stamps as an added treat to customers who would be sending love letters to their special someone, families and friends during the day of hearts.
Philpost said it believes that even in the age of email and Internet chatting, the art of writing love letters remains alive.
“They are more personal,” said Philpost Information Officer Alvin Fidelson.
The stamps, which have two novelty designs featuring Pheepoy the Philpost mascot and measuring 30mm x 40mm, were issued last Jan. 14. They were designed by Jesus Alfredo de los Santos and are sold at P7 each.
Philpost printed around 70,000 pieces of the stamps.
Apart from the stamps, Philpost will also be reviving its special services for Valentine’s Day: the delivery of flowers and chocolates.
