MANILA, Philippines - The prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or cooking gas will be reduced by P1 per kilo starting today, according to Rep. Arnel Ty, party-list representative and president of the LPG Marketers Association of the Philippines.
LPGMA members include Omni Gas, Pinnacle Gas, Island Gas, Cat Gas and Nation Gas.
“Rollback of P1 per kilo of LPG starts tomorrow (Feb. 8),” Ty said in a media advisory.
He said the drop in LPG prices in the domestic market is consistent with the decline in international contract prices.
For the month of February, LPG contract price went down by $115 per metric ton to $810 per MT.
The price of an 11-kg LPG tank just recently fell below P700.
