DFA fails to relaunch website in Riyadh

- Pia Lee-Brago -

MANILA, Philippines - Not yet in service.

Anyone trying to view the website of the Philippine embassy in Riyadh were greeted with “This Account Has Been Suspended,” as the website failed to launch.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) yesterday announced the relaunch of the website but visitors were greeted with an error message when they logged on.

Once the site is fixed, visitors will find links to press releases, advisories, announcements, and list of passports available for release.

The website will soon add pages on advice for Filipinos living in Saudi Arabia. There will also be links to recent stories on the DFA and Official Gazette websites.

It will also post the rules for labor contract verification as well as the procedure on making appointments.

The schedule for the consular outreach program to the Eastern region, “Embassy on Wheels” (EOW), will also be posted on the website.

The contact information of the embassy and its attached agencies, especially the Labor Section, the Social Security System and Pag-IBIG representatives, will also be posted on the website along with a list of Filipino community organizations registered with the embassy.
