MANILA, Philippines - Boxing champion and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao congratulated young actress Krista Ranillo on her recent wedding with a Filipino-American businessman in California.
Pacquiao, who was rumored to have had an affair with Ranillo last year, said he was not able to read the articles that came out earlier this week on her private wedding with Niño Jefferson Lim in Long Beach.
“Congratulations sa kanya. Sana masaya siya palagi. (Congratulations to her. I hope she is always happy),” Pacquiao told reporters.
He said the wedding should put to rest rumors of his affair with the actress, daughter of actor Mat Ranillo.
The boxing idol’s alleged steamy affair with the young sexy actress became a major staple of TV and newspaper reports late last year before his victory over Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto.
