Gibo proposes de-synchronization of next presidential polls
MANILA, Philippines - Lakas-Kampi-CMD presidential candidate Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. yesterday proposed to de-synchronize the next national and local elections after the glitches that occurred in yesterday’s polls.
Teodoro was the 151st voter in Precinct 0025-A at the Carabaoan-Caocaoayan Elementary School in Barangay Carabaoan, Tarlac. He finished voting in five minutes.
He complained that the ballot was too long.
“If we will follow this kind of voting, I think we should de-synchronize the local from the national elections so there are fewer names on the ballot,” Teodoro said.
After casting his vote, Teodoro thanked his supporters and urged them to remain vigilant.
He said he is prepared to face both victory and defeat in the election.
“I’m lighthearted because I think, at the end of the day, Filipinos will be really aware,” he said.
Teodoro said right now, he is suffering from fatigue because of the pressures and rigors of campaigning.
